Unknown Object Sighting Report – August 31 2020

Winter Harbour, British Columbia, Canada – August 31 2020

2 Orange star shape objects around 200-300ft above the ground and about 15NM away. Hovering above the ground. The lights turned on and off. No sound.

I had completed an Access to Information Request to the appropriate department. After a thorough investigation, I received a letter indicating that the Department of National Defence had found additional information and sent me that information securely.

That information was in the form of a document as seen below:

Regional Joint Operations Centre Pacific
Standard Operating Procedure
Unusual Air Sightings / UFO Reports

Date Amended: 2012-04-04
Ref: A. 1 CAD A3 05 26 1900 Jan 00
B. Telcon Maj Norris/WOC Comox 7 Jun 00

1.Ref A directs a subj reporting procedure for CAD units. In order to avoid duplication of effort and avoid confusion, it is most effective to tag on to the “Airforce” procedure rather than create our own.

2.WOC Comox has a procedure in place, so the best practice is to refer any subj calls to them, unless the SWO con resolve the issue with the caller. (ie: explain known event that is likely causing the caller’s concern)

3. Unexplainable CIRVIS / UNUSUAL SIGHTINGS / UFO REPORTS to be referred to (WOC Comox • Number not for release to public)
